TigerMonk Originals to Stream Five-Part Series on Pune’s Historic Ganpati Temples

Pune: Film and media production house TigerMonk has announced the launch of its latest five-part documentary series, “Aitihasik Ganpati Mandire”. The series is dedicated to Pune’s historic Ganesh temples, highlighting their cultural significance and timeless legacy.

TigerMonk Pays Tribute to Forgotten Ganesh Temples

The TigerMonk series brings to light five of Pune’s lesser-known but historically rich temples — Trishunda Ganpati, Khinditla Ganpati, Gupchup Ganpati, Modi Ganpati, and Maticha Ganpati. Each episode delves into the architectural grandeur, devotional practices, and social resilience reflected in these sacred shrines.

The series was officially unveiled in the presence of renowned historian Mohan Shete, President of Itihas Premi Mandal, who also anchors the documentary. Shete praised the initiative, calling it a vital step toward preserving Pune’s cultural wisdom for future generations.

Technology Meets Tradition at TigerMonk

Speaking at the launch, Aditya Rathi, Managing Director of TigerMonk, said, “This series is our tribute to Pune’s sacred history, crafted with reverence and passion. We are embracing AI and animation to bring historic stories to life, reconnecting people with their cultural roots.”

The five-episode series will stream exclusively on TigerMonk.Originals via YouTube starting August 20, 2025. Viewers can also access the episodes by scanning the official QR code provided by the company.
